Regular visits to an ophthalmologist are important at every stage of life. After a detailed exam, the doctor recommends the frequency of future checkups based on the results and family predisposition to eye diseases.
We especially emphasize the importance of early eye exams for children. Visual function develops most intensively during the first year of life, and more gradually until the ages of 8 to 10. Early detection is key to preventing amblyopia, and an exam can be performed as early as one year of age.
